In the absence of such specific instructions, the Banks concerned with the collection have no obligation to have the document(s) protested (or subjected to other legal process in lieu thereof) for non-payment or non-acceptance.
The presenting Bank should endeavor to ascertain the reasons for non-payment and/or non-acceptance and advise accordingly, without delay, the Bank from which it received the collection instruction.
Where a foreign bill, appearing on the face of it to be such, has been dishonoured by non-acceptance, it must be duly protested for non-acceptance,
Article 6When exercising the right of recourse, the holder shall provide relevant evidence of non - acceptance or non - payment.
Article 6The holder shall, within three days after receiving the relevant evidence of non - acceptance or non - payment, notify his prior parties in writing of the fact of dishonor; the said prior parties shall, within three days after receiving the notice, notify his prior parties about the matter.
Article 4When accepting a bill of exchange, the drawee may not attach any conditions thereto. An acceptance to which a condition is attached is deemed non - acceptance.
Article 6The bearer shall give written notice of the refusal to accept or pay to his prior party within three days of receiving relevant certification denoting non-acceptance or non-payment； the prior party shall notify his prior party of the notice he has received within three days of receiving the notice.
Article 4The payer shall accept or refuse the bill within three days of receiving the bill as presented for acceptance.
Article 6When exercising the right of recourse， the bearer shall able to provide proof that acceptance or payment was refused.
